या संशोधनाचा प्रमुख उद्देश बी.एड. अभ्यासक्रमातील गणित अध्यापनशास्त्र विषयासाठी मुक्त शैक्षणिक संसाधने कार्यक्रमाचे विकसन करणे आणि त्याची परिणामकारकता अभ्यासणे हा होता. यासाठी संशोधकांनी प्रथम साधन निर्मितीतून संशोधन या संशोधन पद्धतीने मुक्त शैक्षणिक संसाधने कार्यक्रमाचे विकसन केले. त्यानंतर विकसित केलेल्या कार्यक्रमाची नमुना म्हणून निवडलेल्या 80 प्रतिसादकांवर प्रायोगिक व नियंत्रित अशा गटात विभाजन करून अंमलबजावणी करण्यात आली. या संशोधनाच्या प्रमुख निष्कर्षात मुक्त शैक्षणिक संसाधनाद्वारे अध्यापन केले असता गणित अध्यापनशास्त्राचे संपादन अधिक चांगले होते असे निष्कर्ष मिळालेले आहेत.
