Author Guidelines
Kavya Setu is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research articles, review papers, and case studies in various fields. Authors are encouraged to adhere to the following guidelines for successful submission and publication.
1. General Submission Requirements
- Language: Manuscripts must be written in English or Hindi.
- Originality: Submissions should be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- Plagiarism Policy: Manuscripts with plagiarism exceeding 10% (excluding references) will be rejected. Authors must ensure proper citations.
- Manuscript Format: Submissions should follow the prescribed formatting guidelines (see Section 5).
2. Types of Submissions Accepted
- Research Articles: Empirical studies, theoretical analyses, and methodological advancements (4,000–8,000 words).
- Review Papers: Comprehensive reviews of existing literature on a specific topic (3,000–6,000 words).
- Case Studies: Detailed case analyses with practical implications (3,000–5,000 words).
- Short Communications: Brief reports on ongoing research or novel findings (1,500–3,000 words).
3. Submission Process
- Manuscripts must be submitted via Online Submission Portal present on the website (Make a Submission Column) in MS Word format (.doc/.docx).
- The submission should contain:
- Cover letter (mentioning manuscript type, research significance, and declaration of originality).
- Manuscript file (formatted as per Section 5).
- Author details (Name, affiliation, ORCID ID, email).
- Copyright declaration (see Section 7).
4. Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process:
- Initial Screening: Checked for plagiarism, formatting, and adherence to journal scope.
- Editorial Review: Evaluated by the editorial board for relevance and research quality.
- Peer Review: Sent to two independent reviewers for evaluation.
- Decision: Based on reviewers' feedback, manuscripts are either:
- Accepted with minor or major revisions.
- Rejected if deemed unsuitable.
- Requested for resubmission after significant revision.
Review duration: 4-6 weeks. Authors are notified of the decision via email.
5. Manuscript Formatting Guidelines
5.1 Document Setup
- File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).
- Font & Size: Times New Roman (English) or Kruti Dev 010 (Hindi), 12 pt.
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 1-inch on all sides.
- Page Numbers: Bottom center.
5.2 Manuscript Structure
- Title Page:
- Title (bold, 14 pt)
- Author(s) full name, affiliation, email, and ORCID ID.
- Abstract: 250-300 words, summarizing objectives, methodology, findings, and significance.
- Keywords: 4-6 relevant keywords.
- Introduction: Background, significance, research problem, and objectives.
- Literature Review: Discussion of previous studies and research gaps.
- Methodology: Detailed research design, data collection, and analysis approach.
- Results & Discussion: Presentation of findings with relevant tables/figures.
- Conclusion & Recommendations: Summary of key insights, limitations, and future research directions.
- References: Follow APA (7th edition) or MLA (for humanities and Hindi manuscripts).
- Appendices (if any).
5.3 Figures & Tables
- Numbered sequentially (Table 1, Table 2, etc.).
- Clearly labeled with captions.
- High-resolution images (if applicable).
6. Ethical Considerations
- Plagiarism Check: Authors must ensure originality and provide proper citations.
- Authorship Declaration: All listed authors must have contributed to the work.
- Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal interests.
- Human & Animal Research: Studies involving human/animal subjects must comply with ethical guidelines and include approval details.
7. Copyright & Licensing
- The journal retains the copyright for all published works.
- Authors grant non-exclusive publishing rights to Kavya Setu under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.
- Authors can share their published work for non-commercial purposes with proper citation.
8. Post-Acceptance Process
- Accepted papers undergo final formatting and proofreading before publication.
- Authors receive galley proofs for approval before final publication.
- Published papers are indexed in relevant databases.
